Default Fastest way to make plat in GW/Eye of the North?

Hello all,

Great site, with good info. I lurked for a long time before posting but will be contributing from time to time. I just resumed Guild Wars and while playing Eye of the North I've noticed the drops/gold seems to be coming a lot slower than I remembered when playing other campaigns a year or so ago.

I need major plat for my new armour that I want to craft and I don't want to risk getting my accoutn banned for buying gold. What's a relatively fast way to make some decent plat in GW these days? Specifically in Eye of the North?

Thanks in advance!

Kill stuff, green farm, finish quests. Simple as that.

Browse the farming section for an almost endless supply of builds to earn plat.
Alot of people will tell you that power trading is the way to fast cash and they are probably right (if you can stand the long hours spent spamming the trade channels).

I find that I actually make more cash just playing the game than i do from farming. Vanquishing is good money and dungeons can be a good source of cash once you get a good build down and you can move thru them quickly.

To make money in the EN areas, I complete quests and do the dungeons. The dungeon quests usually have a pretty good cash rewards, and some of these dungeons are relatively straightforward (not to mention that you can get rare and valuable items out of the chests found at the end of these dungeons). Doing this, it only takes me 2-3 evenings to scrape together the cash for a new set of armor

Dungeons are probably the best. They can take time but the rewards are also better. You can also just go out and do quests, with all the enemies in an area sometimes you can get 1-2k just from doing a quest.

fastest? probably e-bay

vanquishing, always have some lockpicks with you. Paitent selling/buying to save some gold easily.
And some farming spots are rally nice to get some gold fast, just don't stick too long at one place.

Ebay doesn't have gold sellers anymore.

Fastest way would be to make an ele and farm destroyer cores. Or go through lots of dungeons.

Getting Hard Mode runs in Cathedral of Flames has made me some money recently. Got a collosal scimy, a Scepter of the Keeper, and a gloom shield, as well as numerous other golds. Plus, relics of rin and deissa's chalices drop. Not bad for the 3k that most people charge for the run.

besides vanquishing and questing, if you farm for the faction titles in eotn by turning in books you get a small amount of money + the money from doing the quests. it isn't huge but it also works on some titles for your hall of monuments that you might get some kind of reward for when gw2 comes out.

I just wanted to say thanks for the replies all. DUngeons sound fun. I'm sick of grinding in LOTRO for cash and if there is a way to actually play while making money it sounds like what i want. I'll have to check dungeons out.

Just play through the game on normal, finish all the dungeons on normal. Hand in your books.

Get 2 new books then do it all on hard mode.

Brings in the money rightly and isnt a grind.
